Welcome to Fight Club
South West Florida

This first week will be like drinking from a firehose. There’s a ton of critical information below — absorb it carefully. Own it. In a few days, your squad leader will reach out. Be ready.

For the next 10 weeks, you must forge new disciplines and attack every day with purpose. Don’t wait. Right now, ask Jesus to take hold of your heart, your actions, and your mindset. Align everything with Him — because half-commitment won't survive here.

This may be the most important 10 weeks of your life as you get locked in on Christ. Understand this: your leaders are proud of you, but we are not here just to cheer you on — we are in the fight with you. I will face the same battles you will, and I refuse to back down. My family, my Savior, and the brotherhood of SW FL Fight Club are too important to leave vulnerable — and so are yours.

You have what it takes, but only if you refuse to procrastinate. Missions are not optional. They are not to be delayed. Attack them immediately. Start strong. Finish stronger. Start to finish, brothers — start to finish. At Graduation, I’ll bring my block and place it on the wall we build together. The only question is — will you?

  • BAND App:

You will receive a link to the Band App from your squad leader. Once you join, immediately upload a profile picture showing your face and full name. Not your back. Not a tree. Not a flag, a building, a go-kart, or a blurry shadow. Your face — clearly. Also, do not use a group photo. We need to know exactly who you are.

Now, about the Band App — and some best practices: Only you should access your account. This is a secure place for men to share openly and honestly. I’ve seen men confess deep sins and deep hurts here. It must stay a safe, trusted space where every man feels free to go all in.

Some missions will require you to post on the Band App, so take it seriously. But be disciplined — the Band App can become a distraction if you let it. Turn off notifications and set specific times to check in, post, and comment. Stay focused.

  • Weekly Missions:

Missions will be posted every Thursday morning before 6:00 AM. Read them carefully. Don’t skim. Don’t assume. Take 5 minutes — slow down, read thoroughly, and pray that God will use each mission to stretch you, build camaraderie with your squad, and deepen accountability within your triad.

  • Accountability and Strikes:

Every Fight Club man is allowed only 3 strikes over the 10 weeks. Each mission will be clearly labeled as strikeable or non-strikeable. Strikes are tracked on the honor system — it’s your responsibility to report any strikes to your squad leader by Thursday at noon. Squad leaders will not chase you down.

There will be opportunities throughout this chapter to earn back strikes, but strikes are not retroactive. If you strike out, you cannot retroactively "fix" it by completing an extra opportunity later.

Striking out does not mean you quit. If you strike out, we still expect you to stay in the fight, complete your missions, stay connected, and finish strong. You can complete the chapter even if you don’t graduate. Remember: we are stronger together.

Don’t sacrifice your family to complete missions. Be smart. Get up earlier. Use a headlamp. Involve your family when you can. The last thing you want is for your family to resent Fight Club because it pulled you away from them.

Find a notebook or journal now. You will be asked to record your thoughts and reflections throughout these 10 weeks. You can use a physical journal or the One Day App — but come ready to engage deeply.

  • Book:

Your squad leader will give you the book title, author, and an Amazon link for this chapter of Fight Club. Get your hands on it immediately.

I strongly recommend buying a hard copy — it helps you stay focused, underline key points, and write down what God is speaking to you through the material. However, if you learn better through listening, an audio version will be available on Audible or Hoopla (free with many library cards).

  • Guideline Notes:

Read the guidelines carefully — and live them out dailyThey are strikeable. No excuses. Watch this video for a full breakdown: [Fight Club Guidelines Video].

You’ll read one chapter of Proverbs each day based on the calendar date: Proverbs 1 on the 1st, Proverbs 2 on the 2nd, and so on. Stay disciplined. Stay on track.

Start praying now about what God is calling you to give away. It’s not just about stuff. One brother gave his time by installing tile for a family in need. This is about giving your time, talent, or treasure — whatever God puts on your heart.

Each man is also required to volunteer at his local church during these 10 weeks. Don't wait for an invitation. Find a need and meet it. Serve in a ministry, clean the property, help behind the scenes — just show up ready to serve. Be a contributor, not a consumer.

If you have questions or hit a major life challenge, contact your squad leader immediately. Don’t disappear. Stay in the fight. We will find a way forward — together.

  • PHYSICAL ASPECT:

Smart decisions. No sit-ups with back pain, no pushups with shoulder pain etc. Get stronger, not hurt. If you have physical limitations, please contact your squad leader.

    Mileage: Run if you can. Bike = 3:1, Elliptical = 1.5:1, Swimming = 1:3.

Already training? Stick to your plan — it counts.

In top shape? Level up. You’re capable of more. God has bigger plans for your body.

Bring others on your miles. Lead from the front.
