Hurricane Milton Recovery
Vinny Mazzaferro
We have a unique opportunity to come together and support two incredible individuals: Vincent and Lorraine Mazzaferro. Vinny, a 92-year-old Marine Corps veteran who bravely served in the Korean War, has dedicated his life to protecting and serving others, including a decade with the Springfield, Massachusetts police department.
Since 1989, Vinny and Lorraine have called Punta Gorda home, but their sanctuary has been devastated by the recent floods from Hurricanes Helene and Milton. The majority of their belongings have been destroyed, and their home is in dire need of extensive repairs—new electrical outlets, two air conditioners, drywall, cabinets, flooring, and kitchen and bathroom renovations.
Now is the time for us to step up and show our gratitude for Vinny’s service and sacrifice. Together, we can help them rebuild not just a house, but a home filled with love and warmth once again.
Debbie Mount
Today, we invite you to join us in supporting a remarkable woman: Debbie Mount. As a widow, retired nurse, and cancer survivor, Debbie has dedicated her life to caring for others. She has volunteered with the Red Cross, mentored students through Big Brothers Big Sisters, and enriched our community by fostering a love of reading in local children.
For 30 years, Debbie’s home in Englewood, FL, has been a sanctuary filled with kindness and warmth. Unfortunately, it has been devastated by the recent floods from Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Much of her beloved belongings are now lost, and her home is in urgent need of extensive repairs—electrical work, new drywall, cabinets, flooring, and a complete kitchen and bathroom renovation.
Now, it’s our turn to show Debbie the same love and support she has given to so many. Together, we can help restore her home, providing her with a safe and nurturing environment to continue her inspiring journey.
